Heritage Space vui mừng giới thiệu Kho Dữ liệu Nghệ thuật Việt Nam (ViAA), một dự án dài hạn phi lợi nhuận do chúng tôi khởi xướng vào năm 2020. Dự án nhằm thu thập, lưu trữ và thành lập một thư viện dữ liệu trực tuyến mở về nghệ thuật đương đại Việt Nam từ đầu thập niên 1990 tới nay. Website của dự án ở địa chỉ https://vietnamartarchive.vn, chính thức ra mắt và hoạt động vào đầu tháng 4/2022.
ViAA mong muốn xây dựng một hệ thống Dữ liệu chọn lọc làm nguồn tham khảo đáng tin cậy về nghệ sĩ, tác phẩm, các sự kiện, dấu ấn quan trọng của lịch sử hình thành và phát triển của Nghệ thuật đương đại Việt Nam trong hơn 30 năm qua. Cơ sở dữ liệu của ViAA sẽ trở thành nền tảng cho việc phát triển các ý tưởng và dự án khác trong tương lai bao gồm: xuất bản, triển lãm, chương trình giáo dục, và nhiều cách thức hợp tác, làm việc liên ngành đa dạng.
Đối tượng lưu trữ chính của ViAA là Dữ liệu của Tác phẩm và Thực hành Nghệ thuật đương đại của nghệ sĩ Việt Nam từ sau 1990, được thu thập theo nhiều giai đoạn. Ở giai đoạn hiện tại, chúng tôi tập trung sưu tầm và thu thập Dữ liệu của Tác phẩm và Thực hành Nghệ thuật đương đại Việt Nam trong hai thập niên 1990 và 2000. Mọi Dữ liệu của ViAA đều do nghệ sĩ và các bên có bản quyền cung cấp. Dữ liệu được lưu trữ kỹ thuật số trên nền tảng trực tuyến ở các định dạng cơ bản: văn bản, hình ảnh, âm thanh và video. Tác phẩm, được lựa chọn dựa trên một bộ tiêu chí riêng, được phân loại theo thư mục và có thể truy cập được thông qua hệ thống tra cứu như một thư viện điện tử.
Là một dự án hướng tới cộng đồng, hoạt động phi lợi nhuận, mọi Dữ liệu hiển thị trên website ViAA đều được công khai và cho phép người dùng truy cập và sử dụng miễn phí theo tiêu chuẩn Cấp phép CC BY-NC-ND 4.0, một trong các tiêu chuẩn theo Quy ước chia sẻ cộng đồng của Creative Commons. Theo tiêu chuẩn này, người dùng chỉ được phép chia sẻ và sử dụng Dữ liệu trên ViAA cho mục đích phi thương mại, và cần đảm bảo giữ nguyên bản, ghi rõ nguồn gốc Dữ liệu từ website ViAA.
Phát triển từ ý tưởng ban đầu của ông Nguyễn Anh Tuấn từ năm 2014, ViAA là kết quả của quá trình làm việc tập thể của các thành viên Heritage Space từ đầu năm 2020, dưới sự tư vấn của các chuyên gia bao gồm năm thành viên Ban Cố vấn: giám tuyển – nhà nghiên cứu Ace Lê, giám tuyển Lê Thiên Bảo, nhà nghiên cứu Bùi Kim Đĩnh, giám tuyển – nghệ sĩ Trần Lương, nhà nghiên cứu – cây viết Natalia Kraevskaia; và các cựu thành viên Ban Cố vấn: giám tuyển Đỗ Tường Linh, giám tuyển Lê Thuận Uyên. Ban Cố vấn có vai trò hỗ trợ chúng tôi trong việc đưa ra tiêu chí và phương pháp lựa chọn và thu thập Dữ liệu nhằm đảm bảo sự khách quan, chính xác và tính chuyên môn của ViAA.
Để bảo vệ sự tín nhiệm của cộng đồng nghệ thuật – những người đã, đang và sẽ cộng tác với ViAA, cũng như thành quả lao động của toàn thể thành viên dự án trong quá khứ, hiện tại và tương lai, bao gồm các thành viên của Heritage Space, các thành viên và cựu thành viên Ban Cố Vấn, chúng tôi xin tuyên bố:
Dự án ViAA sẽ không thể đi vào vận hành nếu thiếu sự hỗ trợ từ cộng đồng nghệ sĩ, chuyên gia, giám tuyển, những người bạn yêu nghệ thuật và đặc biệt là từ Quỹ Cứu trợ Văn hóa Giáo dục Quốc tế của Văn phòng Đối ngoại Liên bang Đức, Viện Goethe, Chương trình Kết nối thông qua Văn hóa của Hội đồng Anh và các đối tác khác. Cùng với tuyên bố này, chúng tôi mong muốn bày tỏ lòng biết ơn sâu sắc tới thịnh tình của toàn thể các cá nhân và tổ chức trong và ngoài nước đã đồng hành cùng ViAA. Sự ủng hộ nhiệt tình của các bạn là hành trang vô giá của chúng tôi!

Letter of Announcement

Heritage Space is pleased to present Vietnam Art Archive – ViAA, a long-term non-profit project initiated in 2020. The project aims to collect, archive and establish an online archival library open to the public on Vietnamese contemporary art from the early 1990s to the present. The project's official website can be accessed at https://vietnamartarchive.vn from April 2022.
ViAA strives to build a selective Database as a reliable reference source of artists, artworks, and important art events that mark the history of formation and development of Vietnamese Contemporary Art in over the past 30 years. ViAA's database will become the foundation for the development of other ideas and projects in the future including: publications, exhibitions, educational programs, and many ways to collaborate and work interdisciplinary diversity.
ViAA's main archival focus are Data of Artworks and Artistic Practices of the Vietnamese Contemporary artists since 1990, which are collected following different stages. At the current stage, we focus on collecting and archiving Data of Vietnamese Contemporary Artworks and Artistic Practices in the 1990s and 2000s. All archival Data of ViAA is provided by the artists and copyright holders. Data are archived in digital form on an online platform in basic formats: text, images, audio and video. Artworks, selected based on specific criteria, are classified into categories and accessible using the same search tool as of a digital library.
As a community-oriented, non-profit project, all Data displayed on the ViAA website is available for public access and use for free in accordance with the CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 License, one of the standards under the Community Sharing Convention issued by Creative Commons. Under this license, users are allowed to share and use Data on ViAA for non-commercial purposes only, and required to keep the Data its original form, and cite the source from ViAA website.
Being developed from the original idea of Mr. Nguyễn Anh Tuấn since 2014, ViAA is the result of the collective work of Heritage Space team, under the advice of five current members the Advisory Board: curator – researcher Ace Le, curator Lê Thiên Bảo, researcher Bùi Kim Đĩnh, curator – artist Tran Luong, writer – researcher Natalia Kraevskaia; and two former members of the Advisory Board: curator Đỗ Tường Linh, curator Lê Thuận Uyên. The Advisory Board works to assist ViAA in setting criteria and methodology of the Data collection, ensuring objectivity, accuracy and expertise of the Archival Database.
In order to vouch for the trust of the art community - who have been, are and will be collaborating with ViAA, as well as protect the labor efforts of all project members who was, are and will be joining us including Heritage Space's members, current and former members of the Advisory Board, we hereby declare:
ViAA project would not be realized without the support from the artist community, experts, curators, art lovers, and especially from the International Relief Fund for Organizations in Culture and Education of the German Federal Foreign Office, the Goethe-Institut, the Cultural Connections Program of the British Council and other partners.
